Curiosity Experiment: Who or what in your life needs a sponsor?

Here’s your weekly curiosity experiment:

A recent Washington Post article suggests that women who are paired with sponsors – mostly-male leaders who commit to introducing them to VIPs, clearing obstacles from their career paths, and grooming them for promotions – experience far greater success than women who are mentored in conventional ways (e.g. given advice).

Who – or what – in your life could use an active, engaged, and committed sponsor?

Tip: Don’t limit yourself to human partnerships. This could be an internal project, where you commit to sponsoring a part of yourself that might otherwise struggle to be heard and seen, despite huge potential.

If you’re inclined to share your responses (there’s no pressure to do that, by the way) you can do that on my Facebook page or via Twitter (I’m @laurenbacon).
