Announcing the Beyond Compare Salon (and a more personal bit of news)

If you could see me right now, one of the first things you’d notice about me is my belly. It’s big enough, now, that perfect strangers come up to me and talk about it. (Mostly, I don’t mind much; I can appreciate their excitement.)

Yep – I’m pregnant, with kid #2. About seven months in. That means I’ll be taking a hiatus from work between mid-January and May, to spend some time with my family.

It’s also led me and Tanya to think about what we might do to celebrate the launch of Beyond Compare before I go quiet for a few months. And after considering what might be the best combination of fun and useful, we’ve decided to host a free 3-call series exclusively for those who have purchased Beyond Compare. While the program is designed to be totally self-contained, these calls will provide a forum for asking questions, an opportunity to share what you’re learning, and the accountability that goes along with working through a program at a set pace – we’ll be moving through the program at the rate of about one session per week, with a break over the holidays.

Between calls, Salon members will have access to a private Google+ community where you can connect to the other Salon members 24/7.

Picture your favourite book club + an author Q&A, all in one place. That’s the vibe – a circle, not a classroom. We’ll set the pace, hold the space, and guide the discussions; and the rest will be up to the folks who show up.

My prediction: Deep insights, big “Aha!” moments, curious community, and transformational kindness.

We’d love you to join us.

As Tanya and I were designing Beyond Compare, we were aware that while some people might prefer to do the work solo, this program is extra powerful when it’s done in a group – so we want to give you the option of experiencing that without having to set up a group of your own. That’s part of the joy of the Salon – witnessing one another’s insights and learnings along the way will spark your own.

We’re also considering offering a Beyond Compare group coaching program in the future, and the Salon is a way for us to explore what that might look like – so while this time around, we are offering it at no additional cost, it will definitely cost more than the self-study program the next time around. This is a one-time-only deal – fuelled by curiosity (What might a facilitated group program look like?) and a desire to make the most of this waiting-for-baby time.

The Details

The first call takes place Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 10:30 PST / 1:30 EST. (Yes, that’s just two days from now. Kiddo is setting the pace, here, and he says there’s no time like the present.) We’ll record the calls in case you’re unable to attend – and you will be able to submit questions anonymously if you wish.

Ready to join the Salon? It’s as simple as purchasing a copy of Beyond Compare by 9pm PST / Midnight EST on Tuesday, November 25. (That’ll give us a chance to get you the program materials and your call-in details before the first call.)

Buy Beyond Compare

We’ll send you all the details about the Salon by email when your purchase is complete.

We don’t know when we’ll be able to offer something like this again – likely fall of 2015 at the earliest (and the price point will be much higher) – so if it speaks to you, we’d love for you to be a part of this. Here’s the link.
